Perlie S. Clemmer

Perlie S. Clemmer, 82, of Gastonia, passed away on July 3, 2016, at Gastonia Care and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born December 8, 1933, in Lexington, NC, daughter of the late Cornelius Haynes Styles and Rosie Mae Barnes Styles.

Mrs. Clemmer was a member of East Garrison Baptist Church in Gastonia. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, who had a deep and devoted love for her family. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, and playing bingo. She was an avid Elvis Presley Fan.

A funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 8, 2016, at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Rd. Gastonia, officiated by the Rev. Charles Ledford.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia.

Mrs. Clemmer is survived by her loving husband, Grady Austin Clemmer Sr.; sons, Grady Austin Clemmer Jr. and wife, Beverly, William Lee Clemmer; daughter, Estelle Price and husband, Larry; sister, Katherine and husband, Gerald E. Small Sr.; grandchildren, Joe Clemmer, Misty Clemmer, Tammy & Ron Kiziah, Scott Price; eleven great – grandchildren; two great – great- grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by sisters, Isabelle Meek, Hazel Irene Martin; nieces, Shannon Brandenburg; Martha Ann; nephew, Dewey.

Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
