Pegie Ann Foxx

P egie Ann Foxx, 79, of Gastonia, passed away March 1, 2023, at her home.

She was born August 18, 1943, in Cleveland County, daughter of the late Prince Johnson and Melrose Blackburn Johnson.

She was a member of Carson Memorial Baptist Church.

Pegie was a kindergarten teacher at Temple Christian School for fourteen years before working for the City of Gastonia for fifteen years where she retired from.

A celebration of Pegie's life will be 3:00 pm Friday, March 3, 2023, at Carson Memorial Baptist Church, 262 Sparrow Springs Road Kings Mountain, officiated by Pastor Chris Wilson.

The family will receive friends 2-3 pm prior to the service at the church.

Pegie is survived by sons, Charles Foxx and wife Karla, Jesse Fox; daughters, Deedee Gillis and husband Will, Nicole Braswell and husband Nick, Jessica Fox; sisters, Frances Brooks of Shelby, Patsy Johnson of Bessemer City; ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Pegie was preceded in death by her husband, Buster Fox; brothers, William Johnson, Bob Johnson; sisters, Betty Summitt, Brenda Lineberger, Pauline Little; mother and father-in-law, Grace and Ernest Foxx.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Carson Memorial Baptist Church, 262 Sparrow Springs Road Kings Mountain, NC 28086
