Peggy Jane Wilson

Peggy Jane (Gibson) Wilson, 90, of Gastonia, met Jesus face to face on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Caromont Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Gaston County on December 13, 1934, to the late John Hershel and Lula Bryte Gibson. Now Peggy has gone to join them and her son Ronnie in heaven.

Peggy was a true woman of God. She loved Jesus all of her life and experienced many miracles by God through the years. Peggy was the BEST mother. She took care of her late son Ronnie, who had medical issues, all of his life. The family will always remember her sister Maggie Dunn and her niece, Susan Fisher, helping her so much with Ronnie. Ronnie loved Maggie and Susan so very much!

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her loving son, Ronald D. Wilson II, sisters, Maggie Gibson Dunn, Nancy Gibson Blanton, brothers, Charlie Gibson, Jack Gibson, Ralph Gibson, and Clifford Gibson.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 70 years, Ronald Dewey Wilson, son, Dennis Keith Wilson, Jeffery Scott Wilson, grandkids, Jamie Duncan, Kayce Bragg, Kyle Wilson, Derrick Wilson, Grayson Bragg, brother, James Gibson, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 - 11:00 AM, Thursday, May 15, 2025, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 S. York Road, Gastonia, NC. A graveside service will be held at 11:30 AM, at Hollywood Cemetery, 540 N. Broad St. Gastonia.
