Peggy Jean Ward Metcalf

Peggy Jean Ward Metcalf,  86, of Bessemer City, passed away September 22, 2021, at her daughter's  home.

She was born February 25, 1935, in Madison County NC , daughter of the late Eugene Ward and Victoria Cook Ward.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 am Monday, September 27, 2021, at Westview Gardens, 1123 Edgewood Road Bessemer City, officiated by the Rev. David Caldwell and the Rev. George Townsend.

The family will receive friends after the service at the cemetery.

Peggy is survived by her sons, Robert Metcalf Jr. (Kris), Alan Metcalf; her daughters, Robbie Caldwell (David), Joy Townsend (George); nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Metcalf Sr.; sister, Minnie Lee McKinney.

Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, Gastonia.
