On January 18, 2018, Peggy Spake Waldrop, 79, of Bessemer City, our beloved mother and grandmother passed away.
She was born March 9, 1938, in Gaston County.
She was truly loved by so many and will be missed dearly every day.
Surviving are daughters, Lorrie Cervantes, Teresa Self; son, Danny Spake; special grandson, "Little Man"; 13 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; brothers Orville Stafford, Charles Giles; special friend, Julian Cervantes.
She was preceded in death by parents, Ella and William Brown; husband, Pearlie Waldrop; daughter, Donna Barnette; sister, Doris Smith;1 brother, Larry Giles.
A funeral service will be held 2:00pm Thursday, at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Rd. Gastonia, officiated by the Rev. Eric Ross.
The family will receive friends 7-9 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery.
Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
