Peggy Loretta McLean Turner

Peggy Loretta McLean Turner, 85, of Belmont, NC, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at Atrium Health in Charlotte, NC.

She was born in Alexander County, NC, on February 12, 1941 to the late Ray and Kay Smith McLean.

Peggy was a member of South Point Methodist Church in Belmont, NC. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed traveling with them.

In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by four sisters and one grandchild.

Peggy is survived by four sons, Mike Turner, Jeff Turner (Juanita), Mark Turner (Stephanie), Scooter Turner; brother Johnny McLean (Rosie); sister, Shirley Robinson (Tommy); eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, May 17, 2026, 3:00 PM, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 S. York Road, Gastonia, NC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
