Peggy Brooks Deaton

York, SC Peggy Brooks Deaton, 75, passed away September 23, 2013, at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House, Rock Hill, SC. She was born March 28, 1938 in Jackson County, NC, daughter of the late Adam Sylvester Brooks and Effie Estes Brooks. A funeral service will be held 2pm on Thursday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, officiated by Rev. Leon Humphrey. The family will receive friends 1-2 pm on Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia. She is survived by: her husband Tom Deaton of the home; children and spouses, Robert Deaton, Roy Deaton, Denise Tipton, Tammy Earlene Dillard; brothers, Hamilton, Bob and Jimmy Brooks; ten grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
