Pearly Dover Smith

Pearly Dover Smith, 82, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away Saturday, April 11, at her daughter's residence in Lincolnton. She was born September 22, 1932 to the late Lee and Bertha Hart Dover. Pearly attended Harvest Time Assembly of Kings Mountain. She was loved by everyone and was a faithful, devoted Christian. She had great faith in God's word - "The Faith of Job". A funeral service will be held 3 pm Tuesday at Harvest Time Assembly, 904 Second Street, Kings Mountain, officiated by Rev. Sheila Grigg. Interment will follow at Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 6 - 8 pm at the church. Left to cherish her memories are her children, Lewis Victor Smith, Jr. of Bessemer City, Lorraine "Lora" Smith Rushton and husband, Donald Ray of Lincolnton, Lisa Rishel and husband, Butch of Dallas, Darlene Cutshaw and husband, Billy of Gastonia, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Lewis Victor Smith Sr., children Pamela Russell, Roxanne Earney, and Willie Lee Smith, brother, William Dover, and sisters, Mabel Hayes and Violet Long, grandchildren, Matthew Earney and Kimberly Blackwell. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
