Pauline Phillips Tench

Pauline Phillips Tench, 91, passed away peacefully January 7, 2019 at home.
Pauline was born in Waynesville, NC on June 14, 1927. She was the oldest of 12 children born to the late Charles Richard and Gertrude McMahan Phillips.
She was preceded in death by her husband William L. Tench Jr. along with 8 brothers; 2 sisters and 1 great-grandchild.
Mrs. Tench is survived by her sons; Earl of Dallas, Alvin (wife Sherry) of Gastonia, Ralph Tench of High Shoals; daughter, Vivian Friday (husband John) of Dallas; brother, Fred Phillips; grandchildren, Ashley Sisk (Jeff), Jarrett Friday (Jaime), Andy and Jon Tench; along with 5 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson.
She was a member of Northside Community Baptist Church in Dallas.

A funeral service will be held 2 pm on Friday, January 11, 2019 at Greene Funeral Service – South Chapel 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, officiated by Pastor John Johnson.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Interment will be in High Shoals Cemetery.
