Pauline Maybell Ottinger

Pauline Maybell Ottinger, 94, of Gastonia, NC, passed away, Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at her residence.

She was born July 19, 1926, a native of Gaston Co, NC, daughter of the late Andrew Auten and Eva Smith Thomas.

Pauline was a member of Lowell Church of God. She loved to sew, read her bible and to macramé. She loved going to church, attending church functions and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest E. Ottinger Jr.; grandchild, Scott Sprinkles; sister, Ozell Thomas; and brother, Andrew Auten.

She is survived by her daughters, Diane Sprinkles and husband Harold and Suzette Bryson and husband Jerry; brothers, Vernon Thomas and Doug Thomas; sisters, Lorenia Perkins, Louella Thomas and Edna Dunn; grandchildren, Sandy Sprinkles, Nick Hudson, Lynn Rutkowski, Gwenn Burrell and Connie Williamson; 9 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral service, officiated by Reverends Joe Heffner and Carl Fosdick, will be held 1:30 pm on Sunday, September 13, 2020 at Lowell Church of God - 804 W 1st St, Lowell, NC 28098.

Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial will be held at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia, NC.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to, Alzheimer's Association – Western Carolina Chapter, 4600 Park Road, Suite 250, Charlotte, NC 28215.
