Pauline Reep Guess

Pauline Reep Guess, 91, of Dallas, NC, passed away Thursday, December 14, 2023, at her residence.

She was born in Lincoln County on June 12, 1932, to the late Cleatus and Lona Lackey.

Pauline was a member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Dallas. She served as a Cub Scout Den Mother and was an accomplished gardener and loved tending her flowers. Pauline worked as a Coca Cola hostess in textiles. She was a loving homemaker and provided for her family and fed all who entered her kitchen. She also made many, many quilts.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, LD Guess; brother, Charles Reep; sisters, Ruby Blackwell, Sue Boone, Margaret Bumgardner, Frankie Warlick.

Pauline is survived by her sons, Gary Guess (Mary), David Guess (Gina); seven grandchildren.

A funeral service officiated by the Reverend Dr. John H. Spencer, will be held Thursday, December 21, 2023, 1:00 PM, at St. Pauls Lutheran Church 531 Hardin Rd., Dallas, NC, 28034. Visitation will be from 12:00 – 12:45 prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
