Pauline Beard

Pauline Weathers Beard, 84, of Gastonia, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 29, 2016, at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia.

She was born January 30, 1932, in Cabarrus County NC, daughter of the late James Hurbert Weathers and Delia Darcus Barnes.

Pauline was a loving and devoted mother. She loved her family and loved to shop and listen to music.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Cathy Beard; sisters, Carolyn Hager and Linda Summitt; grandchild, James Goins III; nieces and nephew-in-law, Janice Simmons and husband, William,  Markesha Summitt Parton; great nieces, Elizabeth Simmons, McKayla Parton, and Hanna Parton.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of over 33 years, Earl Beard; son, Michael Earl Beard; brothers, James Weathers, Johnny Weathers, Eugene Weathers; brothers-in-law, Merrill Hager, and Mark Summitt.

All services are private.

Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
