She was born September 14, 1956 in Mecklenburg County, the daughter of the late James Robert Poindexter and Selma Jane Howie Poindexter.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Beverly Lynn Poindexter.
Survivors include: brother, Johnny Poindexter and wife Jan; sister, Beth Wykle and husband James; 1 niece; 4 nephews; 1 great niece and 5 great nephews.
All services are private.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gaston Hospice, PO Box 3984, Gastonia, NC 28054.
Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
