Paul Ray Woody, 61, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Oct. 31, 2014, at Robin Johnson House in Dallas. He was born Dec. 16, 1952, in Gaston County, son of the late Charles John Woody and Blonde Ardella Hollifield Woody Cage. Paul loved his family especially his grandbabies. His infectious and distinct laugh will be missed by all who loved him. His enjoyments in life were motorcycle riding, playing bingo, and watching pro wrestling and NASCAR racing. He will be missed by his family of 30 years at Freightliner in Mt. Holly. The family would like to give a special thanks to the doctors and staff at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia and Robin Johnson House. Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 20 years, Vicki Woody; sons, Brian Woody (Stacy) of Gastonia, Jeff Spencer (Brooke) of Lake Wylie; daughters, Jennifer McSwain (Patrick) of Dallas, Kelly Rhinehart (Chad) of Lincolnton; brothers, Darrell Woody of Gastonia, Charles Woody (Fran) of Gastonia; sisters, Charlene Church (Wally) of Clover, Jeanann Long (Hans) of Gastonia, Wynemah Brown (Coy) of Ranlo, Jennifer Duncan (Larry) of Gastonia; grandchildren, Emma Woody, Alex Woody, Josh Dellinger (Chelsea); many beloved nieces and nephews and his baby Max. A service of remembrance will be held 5pm on Monday at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 South York Rd. Gastonia, NC, officiating Rev. Lewis Gunn.
