Paul Edwin Tignor

Paul Edwin Tignor, son of Denver and Kathleen Tignor, and North Carolina native, passed away peacefully in his sleep surrounded by his family, on March 28, 2025. Paul was born on May 6, 1947 in Kings Mountain, North Carolina. He retired from Firestone Fiber's and Textiles in 2008.

Paul was a caring man. He made sure that his family was taking care of and he would help anybody in need. Paul was selfless and would have sacrificed everything to make sure all of his family members were taking care of. Paul lived what he taught to his daughter and grandchildren. Paul always taught the children under his care to love each other no matter what. Paul was his family's greatest source of comfort and he loved to tell you a story! Paul was our protector and provider throughout his 77 years of life.

Paul was a devout Christian who up until the later years of his life would always attend church. Paul believed wholeheartedly in God, the Spirit and the Holy Ghost. Paul instilled his beliefs in his family as well as talk about Jesus in times of need. Paul loved fast cars and even got his dream car, a red Dodge Challenger. He was a lover of horror movies and his YouTube videos. Paul was very humorous and was always ready to tell you a joke. Paul loved football, baseball, NASCAR racing and basketball. His favorite teams were the Carolina Panthers, UNC Tar Heels and Dodgers. His favorite racer was Kyle Busch. He loved music and KISS! Paul loved to vacation Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and Sevierville, Tennessee with his family. He enjoyed watching his big screen tv.

Paul was preceded in death by his mother, Kathleen Tignor, father, Denver Tignor, brother James Tignor, brother, Denver Tignor Jr. (Dee), sister , Joan Cloninger and wife, Nancy Tignor.

Paul will be remembered by his daughter, Penny Tignor, son in law, Raymond Burkett, granddaughter, Destany Grant, grandson, Joshua Grant, grandson, Christopher Burkett, his best friend,Grayson Gregory and his numerous nieces and nephews.
