He was born, native of Gaston County, January 5, 1942 to the late Paul Melvin and Margaret Smith. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, December 29, 2013 at Greene Funeral Service - South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC.
