Paul Mcalister

A much-loved husband, father, son, and brother, Paul McAlister, 47, of Charlotte, NC, passed away on August 20, 2015, peacefully in his sleep. A funeral Service will be held 11am on Saturday at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 South York Rd, Gastonia. The family will receive friends 6-9pm on Friday at the funeral home. Interment is private. The family would like to give a special thanks to the Gaston County Honor Guard for the Military Honors to be performed at the Service. Paul was born in Greeneville, SC on March 13, 1968. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and received his high school diploma in the U.S. Army. Paul was married to Amanda V. McAlister (Biggerstaff) on June 9, 2012; they've been together for 15 years. Paul was a partner of Masters Insulation, LLC, in Charlotte, NC along with his brother Frank. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Amanda Verleen McAlister; daughter, Cora Lynn McAlister; son, Paul Daniel McAlister II; parents, Robert "Gene" and Mary McAlister of Sharon, SC; sister, Denise Leonard and husband Woodrow of Dallas, NC; brother, Robert "Pete" McAlister and wife Sherry of Ranlo, NC; brother, Frank McAlister and wife Marion of Lincolnton, NC; and brother, Coaley McAlister of Lincolnton, NC. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
