Paul Cecil Lunsford

Paul Cecil Lunsford, 84, of Gastonia, passed away August 20, 2014 at the Brian Center in Gastonia. He was born December 28, 1929 in Fauquier County, VA son of the late, Charles and Mary McCormick Lunsford. Paul was a US Army veteran who served during the Korean War. A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Gaston Memorial Park, officiated by Pastor Gregg Ballard. Visitation will be 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Greene Funeral Service - South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia. Paul is survived by his loving wife, Emily Lunsford; sons, Mickey Cecil Lunsford and wife, Betty; Haywood "Woody" Lunsford; god daughter, Bridget Marr Imai; grandchildren, David Lunsford and wife, Carla; Lee Lunsford; Douglas Lunsford; Chasity Mauney and husband, David; great-grandchildren, Jordan Lunsford, Ryder Mauney and Kira Mauney and pet friends, Rocky and Felix. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Franklin Lunsford and son, Ted Samuel Lunsford. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorials to be made to the Parkinson's Association of the Carolinas - 5970 Fairview Rd, Suite 725, Charlotte, NC 28210 or Alzheimer's Association - Western Carolina Chapter, 3800 Shamrock Dr., Charlotte, NC 28215-3220.
