Paul Heffner, Jr.

Paul Heffner, Jr., 72, of Oak Island, NC, passed away April 10, 2017 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice.

He was born March 1, 1945 in Gaston County the son of the late Paul Heffner, Sr. and Mary Amy Price.

Paul was a member of Southport Church of God.  He retired from Custom Industries in Belmont with 25 years of service.  He loved his family, had a heart for people and never met a stranger.  His hobbies included fishing and golf.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife over 52 years, Cathey Holland Heffner; son Jimmy Paul Heffner and wife Sharon; daughter Pam Crawford and husband Alan; brothers Billy Heffner and wife Dianne, Pastor Joe Heffner and wife Tammie; sister Loretta Trammell; brother-in-law Joe Brafford; grandchildren Joshua Heffner, Jonathan Paul Heffner and Amber Coren and 5 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Gail Brafford and brother-in-law Thurman Trammell.

A funeral service, officiated by Pastors Joe Heffner and Andy Nicholson, will be held 7 pm Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Lowell Church of God, 804 W. First Street in Lowell.

Visitation will be held 5:30 – 6:30 pm Thursday, prior to the service at the church.

Burial will be private.

Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
