Patti Ann Bridgeman

Patti Ann Ammons Bridgeman, 58 years old, of Gastonia, went to be with the Lord on February 8, 2017, at Presbyterian Hospital. Patti was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and grandmother who will be sorely missed by family members and close friends too numerous to list individually.

A native of Gaston County, she was born to Joyce Bentley Ammons and the late Raymond Winford Ammons on August 24, 1958. In addition to her father, Patti is predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Nathan and Ethel Bentley and her paternal grandparents, Jasper and Emma Ammons.

Patti leaves behind her husband of 13 years, Dennis Bridgeman; her daughters Jennifer Lynn Long, Melanie Long Hailey and husband Jesse Hailey, and Melisa Long Baker and husband Jeff Baker. Patti's step-children are Travis Bridgeman and wife April, and Kasey Rushton and husband Todd. Patti's grandchildren are Jacob and Kenleigh Knight, Hannah, Katelyn, Evan, and Natalie Hailey. Step-grandchildren are Jeffery Harrison and his daughter Isabella Harrison, Kristin Baker, Blake and Coltin Burgess, and Emma and Ellie Rushton.

Patti also leaves behind her mother, Joyce Bentley Menard and husband Elger Menard, sisters Dale Ammons Moody, Teresa Ammons Crew and husband Danny Crew, and Robin Ammons Baker and husband Phillip Baker. Also surviving her are 36 nieces and nephews who love her dearly.

The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. on Saturday, February 11 at Ridge Baptist Church, 3818 Old York Road, Gastonia. The funeral service, officiated by Pastors Jesse Hailey and Chester Waters, will immediately follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Patti Bridgeman Funeral Fund, in care of Teresa Crew .
