Patricia Ann Perry

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patricia Ann Perry, age 82, who left this world on September 20, 2026. Born on July 13, 1944, in North Carolina, Patricia touched the lives of many.

Patricia loved her family and grandchildren. She was an animal lover, especially cats. An enthusiastic gardener, she found great joy in working in her yard. The beach was another of her favorite places. Patricia also had a sweet tooth, relishing chocolate and other treats that brought her happiness.

Patricia was a devoted wife to her husband, Virgil "Ray" Perry Jr.; children, Julie Hay (Scott), Kelley Meeks (Jamey), Michael Glover, John Perry (Monique), Jenny Olsen; grandchildren, Amber Johnson (Justin), Jordan Hay (Leslie), Corey Hay (Kristina), Taylor Hay, Courtney Hardin (Ramir), Kai Meeks, Lacey Glover (Mikey), Alden Glover, Hailey Stanberry (Cole), Ella Perry, Estella Olsen, Brianna Jones, Chris Perry; 14 great grandchildren; cousin, Rose Woods; niece, Beverly Deruby (Ryan).

In addition to her parents Ernest and Ruth Rhyne, she is preceded in death by her: sister, Margie O'Shan; niece, Angie Wiggins.

The visitation will be held Wednesday, September 23, 2026 from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 S York Rd Gastonia, NC 28052. The funeral service will be held following after the visitation at the funeral home. The burial will be at Hollywood Cemetery, Gastonia.
