Patricia Elkins

Patricia "Maw-Maw Pat" Elkins, 72, of Gastonia, passed away Friday, August 5, 2016, at her home.

She was born September 12, 1943, in Gaston County, daughter of the late Samuel Ervin Hill and Ruth Adair Hill.

Patricia loved her family and gardening. She never met a stranger and was known by all as "Maw-Maw Pat". She enjoyed painting gnomes, arts and crafts, and collecting coins.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband of over 32 years, Doug Elkins; son, Scott Walls and wife, Lisa; grandchildren, Michael Farley, Ashley White and husband, Zachary, Matthew Walls, Jacob Walls; and great grandchild, Oliver "Bertie" White.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Kristy Farley and brother, Tony Hill.

A memorial service will be held 2pm on Monday at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 South York Rd. Gastonia, officiated by Reg Alexander.

Interment is private.
