Patricia Ann Darby

Patricia Ann Darby, 62, of Gastonia, NC, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2024, at The Ivy in Gastonia.

She was born in Oswego County, New York, on August 14, 1961, to the late Martin and Karen Petrie.

Patricia was a member of Evangel Assembly of God. She loved spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren. She retired from Lutheran's Chapel Mother's Morning Out Daycare.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her daughter, Laura Simmons; grandson, Michael Fender; sisters, Ann Walker, Christine Watts; niece, Melissa Petrie.

Patricia is survived by her husband of 41 years, William "Bill" Darby Sr., son, William "Billy" Darby Jr. (Julie); daughters, Shannon Darby, Misty Brady (Stephen); brothers, David Petrie, Gary Petrie (Cathy); sisters, Kathy Perrigo; grandchildren, Elizabeth Will, Audrey Darby; several nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate the life of Patricia will be held Saturday, May 4, 2024, at 4:00 pm, at Evangel Assembly of God, 625 Neal Hawkins Road, Gastonia, NC.  The family will receive friends, at the church, one hour prior to the service.
