In Loving Memory of Pat Wilson
Pat Wilson, age 81, of Bessemer City, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at Caromont Regional Medical Center, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on August 6, 1943, in Gaston County, Pat was the cherished daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret Hullett. She was also preceded in death by her beloved brothers, David Hullett and James Leonard Hullett.
Pat was a devoted member of Unity Baptist Church in Gastonia, where her faith and fellowship brought her great joy. She had a deep and abiding love for her family and her church community. Known for her warm heart and generous spirit, Pat found happiness in the simple pleasures of life, especially spending time with loved ones and indulging in a bit of shopping and going to yard sales.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion in the hearts of those who knew her. Pat is survived by her devoted husband of 60 years, John Conley Wilson; her loving daughters, Sonyia Wilson, Selina Lee (Dennis), and Sharon Mills (Jim); her dear sisters-in-law, Jean Hullett Harmon (Mack), Brenda Hullett and Julia Wilson and her brother-in-law, Doyle Buckley. She was a proud and adoring grandmother to John Rodriguez, Caroline Helms (Dustin), Joseph Mohr, Payton Morris-Mills (Bailey), and Parker Mills, and a joyful great-grandmother to John Thomas Rodriguez, Sophia Mohr, and Elias Helms.
A celebration of Pat's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 10, at Unity Baptist Church, 482 North Myrtle School Rd., Gastonia, with Pastor Eddie Piercy and Pastor Tim Barrett officiating. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to Unity Baptist Church, 482 North Myrtle School Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052, (www.ubcgastonia.org), in honor of Pat's enduring faith and love for her church.
In honor of Pat's vibrant spirit, the family kindly request that attendees wear bright colors to the service. Let us celebrate her life with the joy and color she brought to ours.
