Pastor Ronnie Lee Simmons

Pastor Ronnie Lee Simmons, 60, of Dallas, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on August 10, 2020 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.

He was born February 8, 1960 in Mecklenburg County, NC to the late Robert Lee Simmons and Sarah Louise Pless Simmons.

He was the pastor of New Beginnings Family Worship Center of Bessemer City, NC.  He loved his family, church family, and his friends.  He loved to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Pastor Ronnie is survived by his wife, Angela Simmons; sons, Kyle Simmons and wife Ashley and Dustin Simmons and wife Dayna; a brother, John Simmons and wife Connie; a sister, Sandy Wayne and husband Tim; and two grandchildren, Levi Simmons and Koleson Simmons.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 14, 2020 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, August 15, 2020 at 11:00 am at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, officiated by Pastor Mark Edwards.  Interment will follow at Westview Gardens, Bessemer City, NC.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Greene Funeral Service for Pastor Simmons' funeral expenses.
