Otis Harrison Hart

Otis Harrison Hart, 70, of Gastonia passed away on June 16, 2017, at his home.

He was born September 2, 1946, in Burlington, NC, son of the late Elzie Franklin Hart and Margaret Campbell Hart.

Mr. Hart was a US Army Veteran. Mr. Hart lived in New Orleans in the 1980's where he was proud to work for Martin Marietta which provided parts for the US Space Shuttle Program. He later worked with Martin Marietta in Denver, Colorado. He spent the last 15 years of his career working for Freightliner in Gastonia, NC.

A celebration of Otis's life will be held 2:00 pm July 15, 2017, at the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 216 Archie Whitesides Rd. Gastonia, officiated by Dr. James Johnson.

Mr. Hart is survived by daughter, Laura Johnson and husband Grey of Fayetteville; grandchildren, John Pitts, Joe Pitts and Maya Johnson; and several great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by wife, Nancy Hart; daughter, Wendy Breison; son, Keith Pitts; brother, Dr. Elzie "Hank" Hart.
