Otis "Dean" Greene

Otis "Dean "Greene, 74, of Concord, formerly of Kings Mountain, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, August,1, 2016, at Northeast Medical Center, Concord.

He was born May 3, 1942, in Cleveland County, son of the late Otis Winslow Greene and Ruth Mae Blanton Greene.

He was the co-owner of Greene's Mobile Home Land Sales Inc. and was the former co-owner of Colorific Paint and Decorators Inc. and Colorific Decorators Inc. in Concord.

Dean enjoyed fishing, gardening, canning, and was a true problem solver.

He was a US Air Force Veteran.

The family will receive friends 7-9pm on Wednesday, August 3, at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Rd. Gastonia.

All other services will be private.

Dean is survived by his loving wife of over 32 years, Alice Childers Greene; sons, Otis Dean Greene Jr., James Howard Greene, J. Scott Greene and wife Tammy; sisters, Sylvia "Sis" Bridges and husband Jay, Joyce "Cooter" Ratley and husband Giles, Linda "Booger" Greene; grandchildren, Jonathon Greene and wife Jamie, Erica Greene and fiancé Joe Calaway, Josh Greene; great granddaughters, Ensley and Nataley Greene; several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to a charity of one's choice.

Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
