Otis Crane

September 2, 1943 — September 7, 2017

Otis Troy Crane, 74, of Gastonia, passed away September 7, 2017 at Caromont Regional Medical Center.

He was born, September 2, 1943, a native of Gaston County, the son of the late, Fletcher Crane and Ila Pennor Crane.

He was a member of First Assembly of God. Otis was retired and an active volunteer in his church and community.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of over 55 years, Geraldine Riddle Crane; son, Richard; daughter, Teresa Rose; son-in-law, David Yates; brothers, Claude and Charles Crane; sisters Pauline Collins, Margaret Ransom, Johnsie Cloninger, Patsy Long; three grandsons, Andrew, Alex, and Isaac Yates; and numerous other family members.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by Bobby Crane, P.D. Crane, and Jackie Norman.

A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Dennis Boyce and Reverend Mike Wilson, will be held 2 pm Wednesday at First Assembly of God.

The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.

Interment will be in Gaston Memorial Park.
