Oscar "Boe" Daywood Huffstickler Jr.

Oscar "Boe" Daywood Huffstickler Jr., 69, passed away Jan 8, 2013, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. He was born, native of Gaston County, June 8, 1944 son of the late Oscar Daywood Huffstickler Sr. and Lucille Morgan Huffstickler. Oscar was a member of Free Spiritual Tabernacle of Clover. A service of remembrance will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Greene Funeral Service- South Chapel, officiated by the Revs. Burt L. Davidson Jr. and Cecil Dover. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Westview Gardens. Oscar is survived by his wife of 24 years, Dovie Huffstickler; daughter, Katelyn Heavener; sons Rodney and Michael Huffstickler; step-sons, Robert Whitesides and wife Sylvia, Jeff Whitesides and wife, Linda; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and friend, Shane Boggs.
