Oma Christopher Knight

Oma Christopher Knight, 72, of Gastonia, passed away February 2, 2017 at her residence.

She was born December 30, 1944 a native of Gaston County, daughter of the late Onus Burl Christopher and Bonnie Young Christopher.

Oma loved the Lord.  She enjoyed the beach, mountains, traveling, camping, riding motorcycles, cooking, baking and family time with her children and grandchildren.  She was also Elvis Pressley's # 1 fan.

Left to cherish her memories are her son Steve Knight; daughters Tina Knight and Robin Nicholas; 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and her best friend Patsy Lewis.  The family wishes to thank Gaston Hospice for their loving care of their mother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Herbert Knight; brothers Charles and Shafford Christopher and sister Teena Christopher.

Receiving of friends and family will be 7 - 9 pm Saturday at Greene Funeral Service – South Chapel 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.

A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Eric Griffin, will take place 2 pm Sunday, February 5, 2017 at the funeral home.

Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
