Odessa Lunsford Crowe

Odessa Lunsford Crowe, 80, of Gastonia, passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at her residence.

A native of Gaston County, she was born on August 16, 1941, to the late Denver and Florence Morgan Lunsford.

Odessa was a member of Destiny Church in Gastonia. She was the former church secretary for Destiny Church and South Gastonia Pentecostal Holiness. Odessa coordinated the Miss Wheelchair NC Pageant. She was also a former member of the Post-Polio Syndrome.

In addition to her parents, Odessa is preceded in death by her son, Joey Lee Crowe and brother, David Laws.

Left to cherish Odessa's memories are her loving husband of 58 years, Tommy Crowe; son, Thomas Crowe (Crystal); daughter, Alisa Crowe; brothers, Mutt Lunsford (Loreen), Michael Lunsford and Grady Lunsford  (Sybil); sisters, Claudia Joann Bolynn and Teresa Lunsford; grandchildren, Chrissen Johnson  (Dustin), Katie Queen (Derek), Anna Styers (Daniel), Tayler Colesworthy (Jake), and Mara Crowe; and great grandchildren, Isaiah Griffin, Slater Johnson, Chevelle Johnson, Kassidy Queen, Conner Styers and Addison Styers.

A funeral service, officiated by Pastor John Benton, will be held at 3:30 pm on Friday, September 17, 2021, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service – 1503 S York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052.

The family receive friends an hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Interment to follow the funeral service at Westview Gardens in Bessemer City.
