Norman Drew Buckner, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and outdoorsman, passed away on November 29, 2025, at the age of 84. Born on May 31, 1941, in Cocke County, Tennessee, Norman spent his life embracing the joys of nature and instilling the same love for the outdoors in his family. An avid fisherman, he loved spending time at lakes and the ocean, where many cherished memories were created with friends and loved ones.
Norman proudly served in the U.S. Army from May 22, 1959, until his discharge on May 16, 1961, achieving the rank of E-4. He was the proud co-owner of a machine shop, "Piedmont Pump and Valve", where he dedicated his skills and hard work to support his family and foster a strong work ethic in his children.
He shared 62 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, someone who stood by him through thick and thin. He leaves behind three loving sons, Ronald Buckner (Tina), Chris Buckner (Angela), and Richard Buckner (Carla); numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each of whom carries forward his legacy of love and resilience.

A graveside service will be held in Norman's honor at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 2642 US-25W N, Dandridge, TN, on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at 2:00 pm, officiated by Rev. Danny Lamb. Friends and family are invited to celebrate a life well lived and fondly remember a man who cherished both his family and the great outdoors.
Norman will be missed dearly, but his spirit lives on in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege to know him.
