Norman "Scott" Buckner

Norman "Scott" Buckner, 60, of Mt. Holly, passed away Friday, April 19, 2024, at Caromont Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Newport Tennessee on July 1, 1963, to Norman Drew Buckner and the late, Barbara Buckner.

Scott owned Piedmont Pump and Valve in Gastonia for more than 25 years. He also owned Big Foot Landscaping. He loved to fish and hike in his spare time. He loved to play jokes on people, but most of all he loved his family.

In addition to his mother, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Sheila Cherry.

Scott is survived by his wife of 22 years, Hope Buckner, sons, Kyle Buckner, Scottie Buckner, Sam West; daughters, Jessica McGinnis, Katy Buckner; father, Norman Drew Buckner; brothers, Richard Buckner, Ronnie Buckner, Chris Buckner; granddaughter, Claire Buckner.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:30pm, Sunday, April 28, 2024, at Gaston County Shrine Club - 505 Pinkney Rd, Dallas, NC 28034.
