It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Norma Jean Ramey, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, who left this world on August 15, 2025, in her hometown of Kings Mountain, North Carolina. Born on December 20, 1962, Norma touched the lives of many with her warmth and kindness, leaving behind a legacy of love and compassion.
Norma had a profound love for her family, cherishing every moment spent together. Her home was a gathering place filled with laughter, love, and countless memories. Known for her big heart, she embraced everyone she met with open arms, never a stranger in her eyes. Her generosity of spirit and ability to connect with others made her a cherished presence in the lives of those fortunate enough to know her.
In her quiet moments, Norma found joy in the simple pleasure of watching television, often sharing her favorite shows with family members, sparking countless conversations and shared laughs. Her ability to bring people together through common interests will always be remembered.
The family will receive friends 12-1:00 pm Friday, August 22, 2025, at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Road Gastonia. A celebration of Norma's life will follow at 1:00 pm officiated by DJ Herscher.
Norma is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Weathers (Josh Biddix), Bobbie Carver (Chris), Rebecca Dean; brother, Jimmy Ramey; sisters, Lillie Mae Spurlin, Edith Loretta Moore; grandchildren, Dallas Boley (Ryan Ward), Susan Boley, Cheyenne Boley (Jason Crotts), Lee Boley, Brittany Dean, Shawn Dean, Kirstan Dean, Cierra Wallace; eighteen great-grandchildren; her fur baby Max and grand fur baby, Simba.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents Wilbur Lewis Ramey and Etta Sexton Ramey; brothers, Lonnie Lee Ramey, Wilburn Ray Ramey; grandchildren, Danielle Ramsey, Renee Ramsey.
As we mourn the loss of this extraordinary woman, we are comforted by the memories we hold close to our hearts. Norma's unwavering love and kindness will continue to inspire all who knew her, and her spirit will forever remain a guiding light in our lives.
Rest in peace, dear Norma. Your love will always be with us.
