Nila Koen Marshall

Nila Koen Marshall, age 50, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 11, 2017 in Carbondale Colorado.  She was at the home she shared with her loving husband Terry Marshall.

Nila was always full of life and loved unconditionally.  The happiest time of her life was when she met and married Terry.  The years she had as his wife brought her great joy.

She was born December 1, 1966, the daughter of Gladys and Chester Talley.

She was preceded in death by her sisters Vivian Fortenberry and Sara Koen.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her loving husband Terry Marshall, step-son Joseph Marshall; brother Chester Jr. and wife Kimberly; sister Sophia Griffin; nephew Cody; nieces Jessica, Kimberly and Adriana and many great-nieces and nephews, cousins and other family members.

A celebration of life service will be held 8 pm Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service – 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.

Visitation will be held at 7 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.

Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
