Nicki Swanger Cofield

Stanley, NC Nicki Swanger Cofield, 73, passed away Friday, February 8, 2013 at Gaston Memorial Hospital, Gastonia. She was born in Belmont, NC on October 3, 1939, daughter of the late Victor and Brennie Farmer Swanger. Nicki was a former member and director of music at His Laboring Few Ministries. She was a proud, card carrying member of the Eastern Band of the Cherokee Nation. A celebration of life will be held 6 pm on Tuesday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia. Interment is private. She is survived by: son, Royce Martin Cofield of Dallas, NC; daughters, Cathy Watts McClure of Myrtle Beach, Millie Mason and her spouse, Donny of Suffolk, VA, April Holt and her spouse, Steven of Stanley; brothers, James Swanger, Stephen Swanger; sisters, Brenda Long, Patricia Kelly; 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by: her husband, James R. Cofield; brother, Ronnie Swanger. In lieu of flowers, the family request you send chocolates.
