Nickey Lionel Hendricks Sr.

Nickey Lionel Hendricks, Sr., 70, of Gastonia, passed away January 5, 2016 at his residence.

He was born January 6, 1945, a native of Gaston County, the son of the late Marvin Parks Hendricks and Fleta Mae Carringer Hendricks.

Nickey loved to be with his family.  He loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing at his mountain cabin.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of over 54 years, Linda A. Hendricks; sons Nickey L. Hendricks Jr. and wife Tammy, Brian M. Hendricks; daughters Margie Eby and husband Ronnie, Rhonda Reep and husband Garry; brother Guy M. Hendricks; sister Diane Franks; grandsons Nicholas Eby, Brandon Hendricks and wife Lauren, Joshua Hendricks and wife Brittany;expecting two great-grandsons; special friend Tom Barber and family pet Molly.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Linda Dodgen and brother Ralph Vernon.

A funeral service will be held 2 pm Friday at Greene Funeral Service – South Chapel 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, officiated by Pastors Billy Campbell and Lewis Gunn.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Burial will be private.

Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
