Nelson Ferguson

Nelson Ferguson, 78, of Gastonia, passed away Thursday, January 19, 2023, at his residence.

He was a native of Gaston County, born April 13, 1944, to the late Carl Ferguson Sr and Lillie Ferguson Beveridge.

Nelson was a member of Crowder Creek ARP Church in Gastonia. He was a veteran of the US Army.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Carl Ferguson Jr.

Nelson is survived by his wife of more than 47 years, Judith Prince Ferguson; daughter, Cathy Ferguson Hayes and husband Travis; sister, Linda Middlebrook and husband Jim Spruill.

A memorial service officiated by Pastor Jason Strong will be held Sunday, January 22, 2023, 3:00 PM, at Crowders Creek ARP Church, 207 Crowders Creek Church Road Gastonia, NC 28052.

Visitation will be 2:30 – 3:00 prior to the service at the church. Burial will be private.
