Nella "Dean" Baucom

Nella "Dean" Baucom, 76, of Gastonia, passed away September 16, 2015 at the Robin Johnson House in Dallas. She was born October 7, 1938 in Walker County, AL, the daughter of the late Mack Linwood Srygley and Flora Harbin Srygley. Dean was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Gastonia. She was married to her beloved husband, Jr. for 50 years. She loved her many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister Mary E. (Fay) Phillips. The family would like to give special thanks to her caretakers, Linda Gant and Betty Pressley. A funeral service will be held 2 pm Sunday at the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia, officiated by Rev. Bob Cloninger. The family will receive friends 5 - 7 pm Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Westview Gardens with the releasing of the doves. Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
