Ned Gerald Williams

Ned Gerald Williams, 78, passed away Sunday, January 4, 2015 at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia. He was born February 29, 1936 in Danville, VA, the son of the late David Garrison and Wilma Haynes Williams. A graveside service will be held 11 am Wednesday, January 7, at Gaston Memorial Park with Pastor Greg Neely officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6 - 8 pm at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service. Mr. Williams is survived by his beloved wife of almost 53 years, Florence Carver Williams, children, Bobbie Williams Valk and husband Dennis of Clover, Carol Christine Williams of Shelby, Doyle Lee Williams and wife Lynn of Shelby, sister, Bobbie Sue Gibby and husband Tommy of Gastonia, 6 grandchildren, Matthew, Katie, Stacey, Aaron, Zachary and Dillon, 4 great grandchildren, Chance, Ava, Addison and JoJo, beloved nieces, Teena Tate, Carla Foster. He was preceded in death by his brother, James Holbert Williams, special sister in-law, Cathy Diane Carver, special uncle Samuel Haynes, nephew, James David Williams. Memorials may be made to the National Parkinson Foundation Gift Processing Center POB 5018 Hagerstown, MD 21741-5018. The South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium is serving the family.
