Naomi Thomasson Badger

Naomi Thomasson Badger, 83, of Gastonia, NC passed away Sunday, December 20, 2020, at Peak Resources, Gastonia.

She was born April 14, 1937, daughter of the late John H. Thomasson and Julia Treadway Thomasson.

Naomi was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Gastonia.

She enjoyed gardening and spending quality time with her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Craig Nelson Badger, sons James Terry Phillips, and Jerry Dean Phillips and grandsons Eric Phillips and Jamie Phillips.

Naomi is survived by her daughters, Sherry Sawyer (Jim) and Kim Farley (William); daughter-in-law Darlene Phillips; brother, Clyde Thomasson; sister, Betty Carroll; grandchildren, Shannon Cooke, Deany Phillips, Michelle Arcidiacono, Heather Richardson, Will Farley, Megan Farley-Stephenson, Jimmy, Andy, Jared and Josh Sawyer; 18 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at 12:00pm at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service at the cemetery.

Due to Covid-19, the family request that all who attend to please wear a mask and practice social distancing.
