Nannie "Nana" Gathings

Nannie "Nana" Gathings, 80, passed away on September 7, 2019 at Belaire Health Care Center in Gastonia.
She was born on September 21, 1938 in Pageland, SC, the daughter of the late Ross Keith Gathings and Willie Mae Witmore Gathings.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughters, LaVera Rushing and husband Mike, and Stefanie Black; grandchildren, Meagan Bunn, Imani Council, Ashley Council, Asha Shine, Antonio Shine, and Santana Shine; great-grandchildren, Noah Pruitt, Harmony Johnson, and Asah Carr; brother, Ross Gathings; and sisters, Virginia Haskin and Linda Smith and husband Hub.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Billy Witmore, and Tommy Gathings; and grandson, Ryan Rushing.
A gathering of friends and family will be held 2 – 4 pm on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at Greene Funeral Service – South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.
