Nancy Worthey

Nancy Christenbury Worthey, 75, of Gastonia went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 18, 2021 at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia.

She was born on October 2, 1945 in Gaston County, NC to the late Ebbie Lee Christenbury and Louise Zettie Robinson Christenbury.

Nancy was a member of Riverwood Worship Center in Gastonia.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Bob, Bill, Donald and Junior Christenbury, and sisters, Gin Mosley and Helen Ramsey.

Left to cherish Nancy's memories are her loving husband of 57 years, Ben Worthey; daughter, Teresa Worthey; brother, Charles Christenbury; sisters, Madge Ballew, Judy Crain, Gaynelle Woody, and Dale Howell; grandchild, Amanda McCray (Justin) and great-grandchild, Jace McCray.

A visitation will be held at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service on Friday, January 22, 2021 between 5:00-7:00pm.

A graveside service for Mrs. Worthey, officiated by Pastor Jay Price, will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Gaston Memorial Park.
