Nancy Marie Tignor

April 18, 1948 — September 26, 2024

Nancy Marie Tignor, daughter of Ina and Edward Seagle, and North Carolina native, passed away peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her family, on September 26, 2024. Nancy was born on April 18, 1948, in Gastonia, North Carolina. Nancy's parents both worked and retired from Firestone Fibers. Nancy followed in their footsteps at Firestone in 1968 where she worked until she retired in 2008. This is where she met her Husband Paul Tignor in 1968.

Nancy cared about others regardless of background. She cared for those who never had a relation to her. Nancy was the epitome of kindness and love. No matter what one had done if Nancy cared about them there was nothing a person could do to make Nancy stop loving and caring about them. Her love was unconditional and her kindness endless. In her community, Nancy was loved and revered. Everyone knew if they needed help, she would do what she could to help and care for them.

To her family, Nancy was the glue that pulled everyone together. Nancy was selfless and would have sacrificed everything to make sure just one of her family members was okay. She lived what she taught to her daughter and grandchildren. Nancy always taught the children under her care to forgive and to show kindness to each other. Nancy was a pillar of strength to her family throughout her 76 years of life. Nancy always persevered through any trouble and never showed a hint of worriedness. She always found a way to get through a tough situation without worrying others.

Nancy was a devout Christian who up until the later years of her life would always attend church. Nancy believed wholeheartedly in God, the Spirit, and the Holy Ghost. Nancy instilled her beliefs in her family as well and would talk about Jesus and what he could do for them and her whenever she could. Nancy stood true to her beliefs no matter what.

Nancy loved to vacation to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and Sevierville, Tennessee with her family. Nancy also enjoyed sitting on her front porch talking to neighbors and keeping an eye out for the neighborhood. She enjoyed reading and watching her soap operas. She enjoyed all holidays and enjoyed decorating for them even more.

Nancy was succeeded in death by her Mother, Ina Seagle, Father, Edward Seagle, and her younger Brother, Ricky Seagle.

Nancy will be remembered by her Husband, Paul Tignor, Daughter, Penny Tignor, Son in Law, Raymond Burkett, Grandson, Christopher Burkett, Granddaughter, Destany Grant, Grandson, Joshua Grant, and her two Brothers, Eddie & Chris Seagle.
