Nancy Stalvey

Nancy Furr Stalvey, 69, of Gastonia, went to be with the Lord on May 11, 2021 at home with her husband by her side.

She was born on August 25, 1951 in Concord, NC, to the late Vance and Hazel Crayton Furr.

Nancy worked in many capacities including NC driver license examiner and receptionist for various companies. She enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest. Nancy never met a stranger.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her brother, Vance Furr, Jr.

Left to cherish Nancy's memories are her husband of 20 years, Francis M. Stalvey, Jr.; stepson, Adam Stalvey (Wife Erin); stepdaughter, Lauren Young (husband Dean); stepgrandchildren, Cameron Stalvey, Alyssa Crouse, Makenzie Stalvey, Nathaniel Stalvey, Robinson Stalvey, Adriel Spann, Destinee Young, Cooper Young, Riley Young, and Levi Cagle-Isaac; sister, Rebecca Furr of Kannapolis; sister-in-law, Delina Furr of Mt. Holly; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life, officiated by Pastor Russell Stalvey, will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, May 16, 2021 at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service – 1503 S York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service.
