Nancy Morgan Schronce

Nancy Morgan Schronce, 101, of Gastonia, passed away Saturday, October 26, 2019, at the Robin Johnson House, Dallas.

She was born April 20, 1918, in Montgomery County, daughter of the late Willis David "Ling" Morgan and Ruth Jane Dennis Morgan.

Nancy was a member of Revival Tabernacle in Stanley. She and her late husband, Julius Schronce was known for their pine needle baskets and cooking. Nancy was a great seamstress and loved to make crafts.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Jessie Harris; son-in-law, Bobby Lee Smith; great grandson Miles Schronce; and all her siblings.

Left to cherish her memories are her son, Vernon Schronce (Billie); daughter, Sybil Smith; son-in-law, Ray Harris; grandchildren, Randy Smith (Monica), Doug Schronce (Wanda), Judy Casey (Sammy), Tammy Schronce (Debi Pace), Kevin Schronce;  great grandchildren, Nick Schronce (Roxy), Brian Casey, Ashley Vaughn, Partrick Smith (Allison), Ethan Schronce; great, great grandchildren, Emma Schronce, Harper Schronce, and Liza Vaughn.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm, Tuesday, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 S. York Rd. Gastonia. Pastor Joe Heffner will be officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Interment will be held at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia.
