Nancy Atkins Olson

Nancy Louise Atkins-Olson, age 83, of Gastonia, NC, passed away in the presence of family on November 1, 2023, due to a severe spinal cord injury sustained in a car accident which took place on October 22, 2023.  She is survived by two brothers, Myron L. Atkins of Troy, Ohio, and William T. Atkins of Jamestown, NY; five children, Randi L. Olson, Nancy Victoria Olson-Ewton, Cynthia L. Olson, Patricia A. Limberakis, and Jeffrey Olson; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was a favorite aunt to several nieces and nephews, and she was called, "Grandma Nancy" by hikers who would park in her yard near Crowder's Mountain when overflow parking was needed.

Nancy was a happy homemaker who loved baking, crocheting, decorating, working in her yard, and playing cards. She was born on July 18, 1940, the youngest of twelve children and lived in Jamestown, NY, for most of her life. Nancy will be remembered by family and friends for her vibrant, fun-loving nature and generosity. She was a graduate of Zion Bible Institute in Rhode Island, class of 1961. Her favorite scripture was Isaiah 45:2-3.
