Nancy Diane White

Nancy Diane (Sexton) White was called away to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 11, 2025, at the age of 74. She was born November 8, 1950, in York County, SC to the late Daniel and Mildred Sexton. She married Larry Dean White on June 6, 1970.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Larry White of Clover, SC, her sons, Jamie White and wife Michelle of Gastonia, NC, John White and wife Krystal of Greer, SC; grandchildren, Josh Phillips and wife Hannah, Audrey, Katherine, Caleb, Campbell and Addie White; great-grandchildren, Gunner, Lawson, and Harper Phillips; siblings, Brenda (Teddy) Bryant, Danny (Sandra) Sexton, Jeannie (Ken) Clark and Dean Sexton.

Nancy loved her family and served the Lord faithful in His service as pianist at Zion Baptist Church in Gastonia for over 40 years. She loved doing things for others and sharing her musical gifts. As a child she taught herself to play the piano so she could play for her family as they traveled to sing and play for various churches. After having her own family, she continued to share her singing and playing gifts with her church and others. She sang and played for funerals and weddings and also directed weddings. Over the years Nancy was a blessing to so many people's lives, far too many to count. She never met a stranger. She loved spending time with her family, her grandkids, and her church family. God has chosen to take her home and we know that our loss is Heaven's gain. Matthew 12:25 "Well done my good and faithful servant."

A funeral service officiated by Reverend Leo Kuykendall, will be held Thursday, January 16, 2025, 1:00 PM, at Zion Baptist Church, 2437 South Propst St. Gastonia, NC 28056.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, at the church.

A burial will follow the funeral service at Lakeview Memory Gardens, York, SC.
