Myrtle Richmond Hartman

Myrtle Richmond Hartman, 83, of Gastonia, NC, passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2023.

She was born in Coaldale, PA, on March 1, 1940, to the late James and Irene Richmond.

Myrtle is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, William J. Hartman of Gastonia, NC; children, William M. Hartman and wife Kathy of Gilbertsville, NY, Wendy M. Hartman and partner Genia of Charlotte, NC, Michael J. Hartman and wife Sue of Middletown, MD; brother, James C. Richmond of Easton, PA; sister, Linda Allen of Easton, PA; four beautiful grandchildren, Chez Rich, Andrew Hartman, Katie Hartman, Steven Hartman; two wonderful great-grandchildren, Ellie and Annie Rich.

Myrtle was a graduate of Easton High School. She loved to solve Sudoku puzzles and to watch her favorite tv shows, especially the Hallmark Channel. Myrtle and William were married 66 years in August. They enjoyed camping, fishing, and living in Promised Land, PA. They enjoyed watching the bear, deer, and other wildlife in their backyard together.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Thomas C. Richmond; sister, Edith Richmond Pursel.

A visitation will be held Friday, October 20, 2023, from 6:00 pm to 7:30pm, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 S. York Rd, Gastonia, NC 2052.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Easton, PA at a date to be determined.
