Myrtle P. Green

Myrtle P. Green, 90, of Gastonia, NC, passed away Friday, September 23, 2022, at her daughter's residence in Gastonia.
She was born January 13, 1932, in Crenshaw County Alabama to the late Jack Dempsy Phillips and Nancy (Odom) Phillips.
Myrtle was a member of West Fifth Avenue Free Will Baptist Church in Gastonia. She worked as a sales associate for Belk's.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Clarence E. Green, three sisters and one brother.
Myrtle is survived by her daughters, Shirley Shingler, Betty Summitt (Randy), and brothers, Charles Phillips, and Denford Phillips (Ginger), four grandchildren, Philip Best, Marinda Elkins, Brent Summitt and Misty Taylor, nine great-grandchildren.
A graveside service officiated by Reverend Richard Cole and Pastor Austin Bullock will be held Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at 1:00 PM at Gaston Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends 11:30 – 12:30am prior to the service at the funeral home.
